Hi, i'm starting Uni in Sept and was rejected for a place at halls, i've now got to share a house with 5 other students (m/f) but suffer from anxiety and OCD so don't think it would be good for me.. Anybody sharing currently? What's it like? I'm really anxious that we either won't get on in the or they'll think i'm difficult to live with due to my disorders... Thanks

Hi Mate,
I don't think you have anythink to worry about, I had so much support at uni it was a real confidence booster! Graduated last year and am still in touch with my flatmates, try to focus on the positives i guess, it'll fly by before you know it!
We're always here if you need any advice or support!

Mate, to be honest sharing a house with uni mates is probs better than actually staying at halls! I hardly slept whilst living there, moved into a house with a few mates and everything became a lot more easier, plus, you can still go to all the dorm parties etc and crash for the night if need be, your anxiety would probably rocket if you lived at halls, id say you've got a blessing in disguise

Hi Manny,
I work at Goldsmiths University and can assure you even if you are not on campus, you will still be fully supported by the University you attend in regards to your OCD and Anxiety.
I'm sure once you meet your housemates you'll be absolutely fine mate, what Uni have you gotten into?

My brother's got ocd and I know he had very little issues when he was at uni, will need to double check how long he shared for and what it was really like for him but i never heard any complaints about that side of things..think you'll be fine mate Hi, i'm starting Uni in Sept and was rejected for a place at halls, i've now got to share a house with 5 other students (m/f) but suffer from anxiety and OCD so don't think it would be good for me..
